Sacred Spaces & Pilgrimages

This thematic cluster of the project specially focuses on the creation of a sacred geography in Eastern Central Asia and adjacent regions in various linguistic environments, as well as attempts at highlighting those processes by which a given site achieved its fame and spiritual status.
